Mechanic

They manage a fleet of offshore construction vessels and for one of these vessels we are looking for an Experienced Second Engineer.

Tasks

• Repair and maintenance work on all machinery and equipment in engine room spaces, cranes and deck equipment
• To fabricate parts using the special machinery in the Mechanical Workshop such as lathe and milling
• Adhere safety procedures
• To execute or assist in operational tasks such as operating equipment or special tools for the project at hand
• Participate in drills, musters and training exercises
• Familiarise himself with equipment and systems to be repaired and maintained and special tools which are to be used
• To detect and report malfunction of systems and equipment

Qualifications

• Marine Engineer or Civil Engineer degree or equivalent
• A minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Mechanic
• Willing to work in 5:5 weeks system
• Good knowledge of English

Conditions

• Boarding schedule: 5 weeks on, 5 weeks off
• Good terms of employment
