2nd Officer – DPO

• 12-hour-period of the sea-watch during sea passage
• MOB Operation
• Mooring and anchoring operations
• GMDSS - Operation, recording calls and events
• Draught readings during surveys, arrival and departure
• To know the SMS and technical documentation which is relevant to his function

Tasks

• Dynamic Position operations during DP-watch
• Loading and (de)ballast operations during the watch
• The sea readiness of the vessel during the watch
• Bridge team during fire drill
• Maintenance of safety and lifesaving equipment

Qualifications

• 2nd mate all ships endorsement
• Experience as DP Officer
• DP unlimited certificate
• All relevant STCW’95 certificates
• Good knowledge of English language
